The Achilles tendon comes from the muscles at the back of your thigh and your calf muscles. These exercises need to be performed first with the knee straight and then with the knee bent in order to stretch both parts of the Achilles tendon. Twice a day do the following wall push-ups or stretches: (a) Face the wall, put both hands on the wall at shoulder height, and stagger the feet (one foot in front of the other). The front foot should be approximately 30 cm (12 inches) from the wall. With the front knee bent and the back knee straight, lean into the stretch (. towards the wall) until a tightening is felt in the calf of the back leg, and then ease off. Repeat 10 times. (b) Now repeat this exercise but bring the back foot forward a little so that the back knee is slightly bent. Repeat the push-ups 10 times.
3. Stair stretches for Achilles tendon and plantar fascia
You’ve probably come to the realization that a lot more goes into the diagnosis and treatment of plantar fasciosis than you once thought. Blanket, one size fits all recommendations usually don’t work well for this condition. Please find a medical or allied health provider (medical doctor, osteopath, chiropractor, podiatrist, physical therapist, athletic trainer, body worker, etc.) that understands these concepts. Time spent in evaluation saves time in treatment. If you don’t have a medical or allied health provider, we’d be happy to help. We treat difficult cases of plantar fasciosis with our comprehensive, conservative care methods. Please call 708-532-CFIM (2346) and ask for either Dr. Dino or Dr. Marie at The Center for Integrated Medicine for more information.
Riddle me this? How do two doctors send a diabetic home with steriods for an undisclosed condtion? And never did they mention and changes I might need to be aware of, being a diabetic. Not to menation, the fact that they couldn’t figure out or even consider psorisis now that I have learned more about it, it’s pretty common. I’m not a doctor and I wasn’t aware of this disease. What I have become aware of, is if you catch it early you can take steps to minimize the breakout hence pain. I’m considering taking further action.
